Confederation Place Access Info

For those attending TK Fringe performances at Confederation Place Hotel, please refer to the following for information regarding the various entrances.

Front Entrance

Note: Not accessible to those with mobility aids.

  1. Begin on Ontario St. in front of 237 Ontario St./The Confederation Hotel front entrance.

    1. There should be pink signage indicating that this is “Venue 2”.

    2. The entrance is to the right of Lone Star Texas Grill, to the left of Confederation Basin, and kitty-corner to City Hall.

  2. Walk up the stairs and through the two sliding glass doors.

  3. Walk past the front desk on the right.

    1. Continue moving past an ATM, and a vending machine, also on the right.

    2. Walk past the elevators located on the left.

  4. Walk through an open set of doors to access our front of house. 

    1. Our front of house will have ticketing information, show hand-outs, and other fringe-related information including passports. 

    2. There will be two banners — one with TK Fringe, and one with The Kick and Push Festival information  — on either side of the front of house booth.

  5. To get to the theatre doors: Continue left, and then make an immediate right.

  6. Walk down the hallway, past TK Fringe show-information hanging on the left, until you reach the end of the hallway.

  7. Enter the two brown doors at the end of the hall and enjoy!


“Accessible Entrance”

Note: Closes at 9:30 pm, 30 mins after the last show start.

May need assistance to enter the door as it is a manual open (pull), not automatic*. If you will need assistance opening the door please note you will need to call the front desk prior to, or during your arrival, or knock on the door to be let in. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, and wish for a more independent experience in the future. 

  1. Start on Ontario St., kitty-corner to City Hall. 

  2. Make your way down the sidewalk, towards the water.

    1. Pass Confederation Basin on your right, and the garage door for hotel parking (our garage entrance) to your left. 

  3. Make a left at the sidewalk’s end. 

    1. This is before the tour boat dockage and parking lot begins.

  4. Head up the ramp.

  5. Make a left and enter the door. 

    1. This door is only manually accessible. Please knock on it for assistance, or call the front desk (+1 613-549-6300) upon, or prior to, your arrival.  

    2. This door closes for the public after 9:30 pm and will only remain open for hotel guests after this time. 

    3. The door is a “pull” door from the exterior. 

  6. Head straight through the hallway until its end at the elevators (to the right) and parking garage (to your left).

    1. You will pass an office door to your left, a “Gathering Room” on your right, and pass various guest-rooms. 

    2. Signage is posted in the hallway to direct you, follow the arrows. 

  7. On your right at the hallway’s end, press the large button to head upstairs via the elevators.

  8. Once inside the elevator press the “L” for the lobby button and proceed upstairs.

  9. Exit the elevator with a left turn. 

    1. Continue past the vending machine on your right. 

  10. Enter through an open set of doors to access our front of house.

    1. Our front of house will have ticketing information, show hand-outs, and other fringe-related information including passports. 

    2. There will be two banners — one with TK Fringe, and one with The Kick and Push Festival information  — on either side of the front of house booth.

  11. To get to the theatre doors: Continue left, and then an immediate right.

  12. Head down the hallway past fringe show-information hanging on the left until the end of   the hallway.

  13. Enter the two brown doors at the end of the hall and enjoy!

*Door exit is accessible at all hours through an automatic door button from the inside/push door. 

Garage Entrance

Car drop off only. Please do not park inside the garage, spots are reserved for hotel patrons. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause, and wish for a more independent experience in the future. 

Note: This entrance is not wheelchair accessible without someone able to manually open internal doors.  

  1. Start on Ontario St., kitty-corner to City Hall. 

  2. Make your way down the street/hill, towards the water.

    1. Confederation Basin will be on your right.

  3. Halfway down the hill make a left, and head through the garage doors and into the parking garage.

    1. You will need to call +1 613-549-6300 to be admitted, then press the button to open the doors. 

  4. Exit the vehicle and make your way towards the exit, and the elevators.

    1. The internal exit door DOES NOT have an automatic door button and may require assistance to open manually. 

    2. The elevators will be directly in front of you once exiting the garage.  

  5. Press the large button with an upwards arrow to head upstairs via the elevators.

  6. Once inside the elevator press the “L” for lobby button and proceed upstairs.

  7. Exit the elevator with a left turn. 

    1. Continue past the vending machine on your right. 

  8. Enter through an open set of doors to access our front of house.

    1. Our front of house will have ticketing information, show hand-outs and other fringe-related information including passports.
