The Kick & Push is a summer theatre festival that aims to take the audience beyond being passive observers. In its fifth year of operations, the Festival continues to bring professional artists to Kingston from all over to share works of great artistic and historical value.
Tickets can be purchased in person at the Grand Theatre or online - or at the door of each performance, subject to availability.

The Kick & Push Festival would not be possible without the boundless passions and courage of our featured artists. It is alongside them that we are able to diversify theatre in Kingston, and it is truly a pleasure to establish their art within our community. Below are just some of the artists that will be featured in the 2019 Festival!
Eric is the Artistic Director and co-founder of Eldritch Theatre. The Toronto-based company brings horrifying horror, petrifying puppetry, and macabre magic to tell demented tales of the uncanny. We are thrilled to have Eric and Eldritch this season for their Dora-nominated production, The Harrowing of Brimstone McReedy.
Craig Lauzon is one of Canada’s top character performers. He is a Canadian actor, writer, comedian, and a member of the Royal Canadian Air Farce. This summer, a city bus becomes his stage for audience members and passengers alike, Please share our excitement as Lauzon stars as Simon in Darrell Dennis’ Tales of an Urban Indian, a Talk is Free Theatre production.

Meet Katherine and Britta: the actors, writers, and musicians behind Stupidhead!, a musical comedy about dyslexia. Both of these Toronto-based artists are Dora nominees for their abilities to entertain and connect with audiences. Newcomers to the Kick & Push, we’re thrilled to welcome Katherine & Britta to Kingston to share a ticklingly personal piece.
Waawaate Fobister is an actor, dancer, playwright, choreographer, instructor, and producer. He’s a recipient of multiple Dora awards for his work Agokwe, featured in the Kick & Push 2018 Festival. It is our pleasure to welcome Waawaate to the Kick & Push family once more.
